Discover Budapest’s hidden gems on this exclusive walking tour through the city centre. Explore historic buildings, uncover their untold stories and imagine what these architectural treasures would reveal if they could speak.
During this tour I show you rarely recognized historical buildings from inside too!
We start the tour by discovering the Parisi Passage. It is a beautifully restored Art Deco building. I will guide you into the lobby so you can enjoy the design of the interior too.
- Folkart kézművesház Art Gallery; Here you will find the last existing showroom and art shop in Hungary dedicated entirely to the traditional folk artists. TheOfficer's statue (according to urban legends rubbing his belly brings good luck to the visitors :)
- Four Seasons/Gresham Palace; I'll tell you why this building is special due to its past since 1904. You can enjoy the beautiful view of the Chain Bridge and the entire Buda Castle -Vörösmarty Square.
- Liberty Square; Discover together the cute tiny miniature statue of Mihaly Kolodko, the so called "Guerilla sculptor" and real-size statues of President George W. Bush and President Ronald Reagan. I will explain their role in the amazing progress from the Cold War to a peaceful end of socialism.

Budapest in Winter: Cold-Weather Guide and 3-Day Plan
Budapest in winter is exceptionally rewarding for travellers who appreciate outdoor thermal baths in freezing weather, lower accommodation rates, and classic seasonal markets. Although days are short and temperatures regularly hover around freezing, the city's grand architecture, world-renowned indoor bathhouses, and hearty comfort food make it well worth a trip between December and February.
