Free Tour of Belgrano & Chinatown

Stroll through the heart of Belgrano on a unique tour of Buenos Aires. We’ll discover the magic of Barrancas Park, the historic La Redonda Church, and the vibrant life of Chinatown, along with its most iconic and fascinating spots.

We’ll start our free tour of Belgrano at Plaza Manuel Belgrano.

First, we’ll head to the former seat of power to discover the origins of the old town of Belgrano. From the outside, we’ll see the Sarmiento Historical Museum, a palace built in 1872 that served as the seat of the Belgrano City Hall.

Next, we’ll visit the Immaculate Conception Parish Church, a Renaissance-style church inspired by the Gran Madre di Dio in Turin and the only church in Buenos Aires with a circular floor plan.

We’ll continue on to Barrancas de Belgrano Park, one of the city’s major green spaces, filled with trails, sculptures, and trees. Here, we’ll view the Valentín Alsina House from the outside—a mansion that belonged to one of the leading governors of the province of Buenos Aires in the mid-19th century.

Finally, we’ll pass through the eastern arch that welcomes us to Buenos Aires’ Chinatown, an exotic district that is part of Belgrano. Throughout the tour, we’ll learn about the history of the first immigrants who arrived in the Argentine capital from Asia and established this colorful Asian enclave.
