Join this journey through Chiang Mai’s spiritual heart! Discover the stunning Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang, admire their architecture, learn about Buddhist traditions, and even chat with monks if available. Don't miss out!
Wat Phra Singh Temple: We will begin our tour at 8:00 a.m. at the entrance of Wat Phra Singh Temple, one of Chiang Mai's most iconic and significant temples. Located in the heart of the old city, this majestic complex stands out for its beautiful architecture and well-kept gardens, attracting hundreds of visitors daily. It is an ideal place to delve deeper into Buddhism, discover local art and traditions, and learn more about the lives of the monks.
Wat Chedi Luang Temple: After walking through the charming streets of the old city, we will arrive at another architectural gem of Chiang Mai. Known as the "fortress temple," Wat Chedi Luang was once a key refuge for protecting valuable assets and safeguarding the monarchy from Burmese invasions. Within its grounds, we will contemplate the imposing chedi that once housed the famous Emerald Buddha. Additionally, if the monastery's monks are available, we'll have the opportunity to chat with them with the help of our Spanish-speaking guide. Otherwise, we'll have more time to explore and enjoy the temple.
