Together, we’ll explore the essential places that make Colonia unique, while uncovering the stories, characters, conflicts, traditions, and curiosities hidden behind its beautiful colonial streets.

But this experience is about more than history. Along the way, I’ll introduce you to some of the customs and everyday traditions that are part of what it means to be Uruguayan.

The most special moment comes by the River Plate, where we will slow down for a 30 minutes break. We will prepare mate, share a few fishing rods, try our luck from the shore and enjoy some time to talk, ask questions and experience a simple activity that locals genuinely enjoy.

By the end of the walk, you’ll have discovered the essential Colonia, learned a little more about Uruguay, and hopefully feel that you didn’t just visit the city…you actually experienced it.
