Gjirokaster Free Tour

Join our 2-hour walking tour led by certified local guides and discover the magical stone city of Gjirokastër. During the walk, we’ll explore the most fascinating areas of the city, including the historic Bazaar and neighborhoods showcasing stunning Gjirokastra-style architecture. In the bazaar area, we will also visit the Obelisk monument and the Mosque of the bazaar.

We'll pass by the traditional streets of the city in the area with the most beautiful houses of Gjirokastra style, the famous 300-year-old Skenduli Family House, the former home of dictator Enver Hoxha, and the birthplace of Albania’s most renowned writer, Ismail Kadare.We also walk through the castle surroundings, and the tour ends near there, but we don’t enter the castle itself, as there's an entrance fee. This way, you can decide whether to visit it on your own and spend as much time as you want there if you go. Along the way, we’ll stop at the best panoramic viewpoints where you’ll have the chance to enjoy and capture breathtaking views of the city as well.
