Most tours show you places. This one helps you understand why La Paz and El Alto work the way they do.
We begin in central La Paz, using Plaza Murillo to talk about politics, history and everyday life. At San Pedro, from outside the prison, we discuss justice, inequality and some of the contradictions that exist in the city.
Then we take Mi Teleférico to El Alto. More than a viewpoint, it is part of the public transport system and helps us see how two distinct but deeply connected cities move and work together.
In El Alto, we explore its streets and commercial life, talking about work, small businesses and the role the city plays in the wider metropolitan area.
We also visit an area where Aymara spiritual practitioners work. Here we introduce the Aymara worldview and explain the role of coca leaves, offerings and beliefs that remain part of urban life today.
This is not just about seeing attractions. It is about leaving with more context for what you have seen.
Important:
Please bring 6 Bs for the cable car ticket. Small groups only. We kindly ask all guests to approach the experience with curiosity and respect for local people, traditions, and beliefs.
