Gradually approach the castle, taking in its enormous moats, impressive gates, powerful stone walls, and hidden defensive features. Along the way, I’ll introduce you to Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the most fascinating figures in Japanese history. You’ll hear stories of samurai, war, ambition, loyalty, betrayal, and the struggle for power that shaped Osaka and Japan. But this tour is not only about famous people and battles. I’ll also show you how to look at a Japanese castle through the eyes of the people who built and defended it.
