Discover the heart of St. Peter's accompanied by a certified tour guide.
We'll start at St. Peter's Square, learning about its origins and the history of Constantine's first basilica. Next, we’ll enter the Basilica to see masterpieces such as Michelangelo’s Pietà, Bernini’s Baldachin, the Dome, and St. Peter’s Chair. Finally, we’ll descend into the Vatican Grottoes, where the tombs of numerous popes are located.
IMPORTANT: Admission to the Basilica is free, but to provide guided commentary inside, it is mandatory to use audio guides and pay the corresponding commentary fee. At the start of the tour, you’ll pay €6 per person to cover these expenses and the cost of organizing the activity. This €6 is NOT payment for the guide nor is it part of a tip.
At the end of the tour, each participant is free to decide how much to tip the guide. Remember that you’ll be accompanied by a certified official guide, whose professional expertise makes it possible to fully appreciate one of Rome’s most extraordinary sites.
Don’t forget that covering your shoulders and knees is mandatory to enter the basilica.
