Rome Highlights Small Group Tour: Colosseum to Spanish Steps
♡ Save

Discover Rome on an unforgettable tour through its iconic landmarks. Admire Michelangelo’s Moses, explore the Colosseum, toss a coin into Trevi Fountain, and enjoy the charm of the Spanish Steps while experiencing the city’s rich history and beauty.
Our journey begins on the Oppian Hill inside the Church of San Pietro in Vincoli. Here, you’ll stand face-to-face with one of Michelangelo’s greatest masterpieces: the majestic tomb of Pope Julius II featuring the world-famous statue of Moses (alongside Rachel and Leah, the last sculptures Michelangelo ever completed).
From there, a brief 5-minute stroll brings us to the breathtaking Colosseum. As we admire this ancient icon from the outside, your expert guide will bring the arena's gladiatorial history to life. We’ll then walk along the monumental Imperial Fora—the ancient heart of the Empire where Julius Caesar, Augustus, Nerva, and Trajan left their mark, and the very neighborhood Michelangelo once called home!
Crossing into Piazza Venezia, you’ll discover the 15th-century Papal Palace built for Pope Paul II, famous for its balcony history ranging from Renaissance Carnival races to 20th century political speeches.
Next, make a wish at the world-famous Trevi Fountain, an 18th-century Baroque masterpiece of water and marble. We’ll then reach the elegant Spanish Steps, before concluding our walk along picturesque Via Margutta, famous for its artistic soul.
