Historic Tarragona: More Than Two Thousand Years of History "Brought to Life"
♡ Save

Tour of Tarragona where you will discover the history of the Roman Empire and the most fascinating stages up to the Modern Age. A didactic, interactive and close experience, with touches of humor and little surprises.
The dramatized tour will begin at the Balcón del Mediterráneo. An important figure from the 1st century has appeared in our time to guide you on an immersive tour—and if you’d like, you can actively participate as well. The only tour in Catalonia that combines history, drama, activities, and a contest
We’ll continue on to the Amphitheater, where we’ll learn about the entertainment of the Roman people and their gladiator fights.
The next stop will be the circus. We’ll experience a thrilling and unique show.
We’ll visit the Praetorian Tower and learn about its various uses over the past 2,000 years.
The tour will continue to see a section of the Roman and medieval city walls, their construction during the Roman Empire, and their subsequent use.
We’ll head into the Old Town until we reach a Modernist-era building; we’ll explore its architecture and its surprising original use. Can you guess what it was?
We’ll stop in front of the cathedral’s façade to explain its details and say goodbye. We’ll hold a little quiz on everything covered during the tour and see who becomes our champion—who will be a consul of Tarraco in their city.
I’ll be waiting for you.
