Join our 90 minute free tour of Valladolid! We will visit the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and the National Sculpture Museum. A perfect opportunity to discover the most emblematic monuments and their history.
We will start the tour next to the Monument to Count Pedro Ansúrez, in the center of the Plaza Mayor, where the guide will be waiting for you with a yellow umbrella.
After an introduction of the tour and learn about the history of the Plaza Mayor of Valladolid, the first regular shaped square built in Spain, we will continue the visit to the Plaza de Fuente Dorada and then enter the Pasaje Gutierrez, one of the few commercial passages of the late nineteenth century that we have preserved in Spain.
Next, we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption, accessing its interior in case there is no worship, and then we will approach the imposing Historic Façade of the University of Valladolid.
After visiting the churches of Antigua and San Martín, we will stop in front of the Colegio de San Gregorio, currently the National Museum of Sculpture, to admire its late Gothic façade.
Finally, we will end the tour at the Plaza de San Pablo or Plaza de los Reales Sitios, where we will be able to see the Pimentel Palace, the Royal Palace and the Church of San Pablo.
