Our journey begins at Praça do Município and continues through the historic streets of the city center, where merchants, salt workers, and fishermen once shaped daily life. We pass through Praça Marquês de Pombal and reach the Convento de Jesus, home of Princess Saint Joana, a royal figure who chose faith and humility. Nearby, the Cathedral of Aveiro stands as a witness to centuries of change.

Along the way, evocative remains of the old city walls recall Aveiro’s medieval past. The walk then opens onto the canals, where colorful moliceiro boats glide through the water, reflecting the city’s maritime soul. We pass the Chapel of São Gonçalo and end by the Ria de Aveiro, the living heart and origin of the city.
