We will start this route on foot from the Plaza Mayor of Cáceres, the ideal place to explore the monumental part of the city. Here we find the Towers of Bujaco, the Tower of the Pulpits and the Tower of Yerba. We will enter the walled area through the Arch of the Star and discover the Plaza de Santa Maria, which housed the Roman forum and now has the co-cathedral of the same name.
We will visit the interior of the Carvajal Palace, a trip to the XIV and XV centuries thanks to its excellent conservation. The 400-year-old fig tree, both for its size and its surprising history, will not leave anyone indifferent. We will continue our route admiring the collection of paintings, sculptures and furniture in the majestic manor house of the Becerra family, and then we will go to the Church of San Mateo, visiting the interior of the Palacio de las Veletas. The visit ends with a tasting of Extremaduran products.
