City Free Tour Through the Historic Old Town of Dresden
♡ Save

Discover the captivating history and architectural marvels of Dresden on our city tour. From the medieval era to August the Strong's reign, the wartime destruction, and the remarkable post-war reconstruction
We walk from the Schlossplatz through the historic Old Town, which has its sights, such as the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, or the Semper Opera. I will tell you something about the history of Dresden, the expansion of the residential city under August the Strong, its subsequent heyday, the destruction in World War II, and the reconstruction in GDR times and after the reunification. The tour lasts a maximum of 2 hours, depending on how fast we move as a group.
The city tour is perfect for those who are in Dresden for the first time and want to get an overview of the architecture and history of Dresden. I either have a large green folder with me or a green umbrella. I am also happy to give tips on other highlights in Dresden and the surrounding area that can be found outside the Old Town.
